Client Terms & Policies
Informed Consent
In sessions, we explore sensations, emotions and patterns held in the body through somatic shaking or/and through embodied inquiry. I do not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and I do not provide medical or psychological advice. I do not guarantee any specific outcome, and everyone's experience is different.
Sessions are a safe, non-judgmental space. You are always in charge of your own experience. You may pause, slow down or stop at any point for any reason, and we will continue only if you wish to.
Medical and Psychological Care
If you have, or believe you have, a medical or psychological condition, please consult your GP or another suitably qualified professional. I am not a doctor or a licensed healthcare provider, and my work does not replace medical, psychiatric or psychological care. Please tell me about any condition, injury, pregnancy, or medication that might affect how you take part.
Pain and Recovery
Please continue any treatment, medication or recovery support you are already receiving. Stopping certain substances or medications suddenly can cause seizures and other serious health problems, including death. Do not change or stop any medication or substance because of our work, and speak to a qualified healthcare professional before, during and after working with me.
By using this website and these services, you confirm that you understand the nature of the services, that you take part voluntarily, and that you remain responsible for your own health decisions.
Emotional Release
Somatic work can bring up strong emotions, physical sensations or memories, and you may feel tired or tender afterwards. If you have a history of trauma or a condition where intense emotional release may not be suitable, please tell me before we begin.
When sessions are in person:
Any touch is optional and only ever with your consent, which you can withdraw at any moment. Please tell me if you would like me to avoid touch altogether or in particular areas.
Not a Crisis Service
[Especially for online sessions where we may be in different places]
I cannot provide or summon emergency assistance, and I am not available between our agreed session times. If you are in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent mental health support in the UK you can call NHS 111 or Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24 hours). If you are elsewhere, please contact your local emergency services or crisis line.
If you are considering suicide, self-harm or harming others, please tell me. What you share with me is treated as confidential unless you or someone else is at risk of serious harm, or I am legally required to disclose it.
Optional: Recordings
I do not record sessions / I record sessions only with your prior written consent, and share the recording with you by private link for [number] days, and delete it within [number] days.
Before we begin, please tell me:
the town/city and country you are in during the session;
one person I could contact if I were ever seriously concerned for your safety;
whether you are under medical or psychiatric care, or taking or coming off any medication or substance;
any injury, condition or circumstance relevant to the work.
By booking a session, package or any other service with me, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the above, as well as my Disclaimer, Terms of Sale, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
